“UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of port His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched the UAE’s initial computing (AI) strategy, marking a brand new level of innovation built on Smart Government.
The strategy is that the initial of its kind within the region and also the world and can see investment within the latest AI technologies and tools to boost government performance and efficiency”.
“AI goes to avoid wasting the UAE billions of dirhams and will facilitate save lives once it becomes totally integrated by the govt,” says Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for computing, who was speaking at the launch of the UAE’s first-ever AI summer camp. AI can become a force permanently that eventually improves lives across the full world,” he added.
He said, “Today the most effective willcer|carcinoma} doctors on Earth can create a designation with Associate in Nursing accuracy of eighty six %, the best AI system can make an accurate prediction of 97 percent, it means that, if we can implement that across the UAE, it will make the government much more efficient.”
UAE STRATEGY FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE 2031
At the annual World Government meeting in February 2018, the UAE announced key elements of its strategy.
The UAE has the vision to become a world leader in AI by 2031, creating new economic and social opportunities for citizens, governments, and businesses. Goals of the AI strategy include crash prevention and the reduction of traffic, disease prevention, and increased afforestation.
The AI strategy has five themes:
-the formation of the UAE AI Council
-workshops, programs, initiatives, and field visits to government bodies
-develop capabilities and skills of all staff operating in the field of technology and organize training courses for government officials
-provide all services via AI and also the full integration of AI into medical and security services
-launch a leadership strategy and issue a government law on the safe use of AI.
B.R.A.I.N – The UAE National AI Program, is an acronym for Building a Responsive Artificial Intelligence Nation. It is an integrated and extensive resource that highlights the advancement of AI and Robotics. “It emphasis on UAE’s policy objective to become a leading participant in the responsible use of AI and its tools, globally.” The program defines all the initiatives taken in the field of AI and its impact on mankind.
UAE BLOCKCHAIN STRATEGY 2021
It rests on four pillars of residents’ happiness, government efficiency, advanced legislation, and global entrepreneurship.
Smart Dubai – To become the World’s First Blockchain government by 2020. It’s a public-private partnership initiative to create a smart city with a seamless experience for its citizens. It emphasizes on an efficient city government powered by blockchain technology.
The largest bank in Dubai has also launched a blockchain-based project to counter check fraud. The city is ready for yet another transformation in digitizing all its services including visa applications, bill payments, etc. which account for over a hundred million documents every year.
The most important development during this regard happened recently once the retail payment app port-Pay was blockchain enabled in an exceedingly joint effort between the sensible Dubai workplace (SDO) & Dubai’s Department of Finance (DoF).
UAE AI COUNCIL
The ten-member council will control and supervise the integration of AI in various sectors of the UAE economy. It’s chaired by Omar Al Olama, Minister of state for Artificial Intelligence with representatives from every emirate.
The role of the council is to identify where AI can be incorporated, what infrastructure would be required, etc. It’s a step towards achieving the UAE centennial 2071 project with the goal of making UAE ‘the best country in the world’.
UAE INDIA AI BRIDGE
The partnership involves the creation of a committee that seeks to create economic benefits worth $20 billion during the next decade. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the two countries to increase investment in AI startups and research activities in partnership with the private sector. The areas of development under this MoU are blockchain and AI. This dynamic collaboration will seek to evaluate technologies and innovations by congregating UAE ministry of Artificial Intelligence, Invest India and Startup India.
